A method of non-invasive diagnostics of renal dysfunction in newborns with asphyxia by determining the levels of interleukin-18 in the urine of infants includes determination of the level of interleukin-18 in the urine of infants, which is held on 1-2 day of life of newborn by immune-ferment method on automated analyzer, at that, if the level of IL -18 is from 12.89 to 16.23 pg / mL, kidney affection as a result of moderate asphyxia is diagnosed, while at the level of IL-18 from 25.29 to 35.81 pg / mL kidney affection due to severe asphyxia is diagnosed.
