Disclosed is a method for damping forced vibrations of small arms and cannons. It is completed by a system comprising an outer vessel filled with air or other gas, with cylinder walls made in the form of a radiator, in the upper part of which a frame of small arms and cannons is mounted, an inner cylinder located on the center of the outer vessel, a piston in the inner cylinder, a piston rod, which connects the piston with machine frame, and springs around the perimeter of the outer vessel, with which the vessel is attached to the machine frame.
