The way zinc dust is converted to obtain zinc concentrates and lead concentrates is characterised by the selective treatment of lead and chlorides in steel dust by Ca(OH)2+NaOH suspension solution with Ca(OH)2,5-2,0%,NaOH 0,5-1% with the following selective release from food solutions of high concentration lead compounds. Then a fit for the blast furnace is prepared by mixing the chlorine-treated and lead-treated steel dust with a coke-oven reducer in the quantity 30-35% for:the mass (dry) of steel dust and with a crushed limestone furnace in such quantity that the content of the furnace transmitter in CaO converted to CaO is 6-8% in relation to the mass of steel dust. Then followed by pyrometalrgic furnaces at 1000-1300'C temperaturethe product of which is zinc oxide of metallic content with zinc oxide of metallic content 50% Zn having a low lead and chlorine content.
