Framework for Building and Configuring Monitoring Applications Based on Distributed Computational Models. A collaborative monitoring system consisting of three modules defined as Service Mediator (SM), Service User (SU) and Service Provider (SP) is presented. Given the interaction of these three components, it is possible for system administrators to remotely build their applications and make them available to end users. Applications are comprised of several SP components in which they exchange information with each other. Each SP accomplishes small tasks and by combining its results we get what we call collaborative monitoring (AMC) applications. The system introduces application adaptation methods in case of any device failure so that AMCs continue to function. Another method is presenting to readjust the device previously failed in the AMC in which it participated.
