PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid immobilizing substrate, having a nucleic acid probe section which is superior in coloring intensity and coloring appearance, and having no coloring region other than the nucleic acid probe section, when testing nucleic acid, and to provide a method for manufacturing the substrate. PSOLUTION: The nucleic acid immobilizing substrate is constituted of a substrate and a nucleic immobilizing layer disposed on the substrate. The nucleic acid immobilizing layer is constituted of a composition containing a nonionic or anionic water non-absorbing resin and a particle. The nucleic acid immobilizing substrate is such that the contact angle of the nucleic acid immobilizing layer and water is between 3 degrees and 80 degrees. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
