The invention relates to a method for repairing vehicle decorative plate, which includes a process for coating whole-face paint before top coat coating and drying and hardening the whole-face paint. In the process, after coating the whole-face paint containing volatilizing agent and a method for using ultraviolet ray or infrared ray to irradiate the whole-face paint to make the temperature of the paint more than 50 DEG C to accelerate the volatilization of the volatilizing agent can be employed to DRY and harden the whole-face paint; when repairing time is unstinted and a way of natural drying is employed; when repairing time is urgent and coating surface of the whole-face paint is more than 4dm2 and a infrared ray irradiator is employed; and when the coating surface of the whole-face paint is less than 4dm2 and a ultraviolet ray irradiator is employed. The invention has advantages of providing selective repairing ways for the vehicle decorative plate, adjusting the hardening time of the whole-face paint, not bringing difference to grinding work after the whole-face paint hardening and providing convenience for vehicle repairing.
