PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing coal-water paste for startup of a unit by which the coal-water paste can have suitable viscosity early.;SOLUTION: The method of producing the coal-water paste for startup of a unit is provided in which pulverized coal slurry, coarse powder coal, lime stone, and water for viscosity adjustment are supplied to a kneader and kneaded to obtain the coal-water paste having the viscosity controlled within control values. The method uses the pulverized coal slurry having high viscosity as compared with that at unit steady state during a startup of the unit, and includes a step of pouring the water for viscosity adjustment into the kneader according to a predetermined water pouring curve, wherein a water pouring curve corresponding to the water content of the coarse powder coal is used as the water pouring curve.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
