PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic lens which is compact and obtains effective vibration-proof performance, an optical apparatus having the photographic lens, and a method for manufacturing the photographic lens.;SOLUTION: The photographic lens SL mounted to an electronic still camera 1 or the like includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power, a second lens group G2 having negative refractive power, a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power, and a fourth lens group G4 having negative refractive power. Upon focusing from infinity to a short-distance object point, the second lens group G2 moves along an optical axis to an image side, and at least a part of the third lens group G3 moves to have a component in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis. The photographic lens SL satisfies a condition shown by a following expression: 1.75|(β3-1)×β4|2.50, where the magnification of the third lens group, when focusing on infinity, is defined as β3, and the magnification of the fourth lens group, when focusing on infinity, is defined as β4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
