PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of a load on a whole system caused by an addition of a cluster member by not migrating existing data in a distributed processing system using a consistent hash method.SOLUTION: In a distributed processing system 1000 of the invention, a processing unit 31 of a load balancer 3 selects a candidate for a server 4 for assigning the request based on an ID of each plural sever 4 and the ID of the data in the request, when having received a request containing a generation date of data to be processed and an ID of the data from a client machine 1. If the data generation date is older than an entry date of the candidate for the server 4, the processing unit newly selects the following server 4 in an ID space as a candidate until a server 4 with an entry date older than the data generation date is selected, then transmits the request to the selected server 4.
