PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a support system for additionally purchasing a greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense allowing simple purchase of an excess amount even if a greenhouse gas emission amount equivalent to a greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense is excessive; an image forming apparatus using the system; and a support method for additionally purchasing the expense.SOLUTION: A support system for additionally purchasing a greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense for a consumable supply used in an image forming apparatus, the system includes: greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense calculation means for calculating a greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense; greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense determination means for determining whether the calculated expense exceeds a pre-purchased greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense; additional purchase notification means for notifying that it is necessary to additionally purchase a greenhouse gas emission right transaction expense; greenhouse gas emission right transaction information display means for displaying information of an additional purchase expense on a display part 101c; and additional purchase expense notification means for notifying a seller of an additional purchase.
