PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse running detection device that can easily detect reverse running of a vehicle on a one-way road while reducing the increase of the calculation costs.;SOLUTION: First, a reverse running detection device sets a first cross line ahead of one's own vehicle (S204) and detects the passing of the vehicle through the cross line in the forward direction (Determined as "Yes" in S205). After that, if the vehicle erroneously turns back the road and when the reverse running detection device detects the passing of the vehicle through the first cross line in the reverse direction (Determined as "Yes" in S206), a second cross line is set at a position in the forward direction further upstream than the first cross line (S207). Then, when the reverse running detection device detects the passing of the vehicle through the second cross line in the reverse direction (Determined as "Yes" in S208), it determines that the vehicle reversely runs the one-way road and issues warning (S209).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
