PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent low temperature corrosion or high temperature corrosion while using a material as the same as a conventional one by disposing a heat exchanger in a gas atmosphere with low corrosion gas concentration, and carrying out heat exchange with combustion gas in the gas atmosphere. PSOLUTION: In the waste heat recovery system for a stoker type incinerator, main combustion exhaust gas G discharged from the stoker type incinerator 1 is guided to a boiler 2 and an economizer 3 to recover heat from the main combustion exhaust gas G, and also, combustion gas G' drawn from a downstream side upward side of a stoker 11 is blown into a combustion chamber by a combustion gas circulation path 16, and heat is recovered from the combustion gas G' by a heat exchanger 18 disposed in the combustion gas circulation path 16. The heat exchanger 18 disposed in the combustion gas circulation path 16 is used as an economizer, boiler feed water W is passed in an order of the heat exchanger 18 in the combustion gas circulation path 16 and the economizer 3 in a boiler 2 downstream side, and an inlet temperature of the boiler feed water W of the heat exchanger 18 is 60-140C, preferably 60-115C.
