PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a device structure capable of achieving topological quantum calculation using Majorana fermion (Majorana fermion, MF).;SOLUTION: As shown at (a) in the drawing, a region in which an edge MF can exist is divided into four subregions, and a structure where one subregion becoming the center is coupled with other three subregions, respectively, via constrictions is the unit structure of this device. A variable voltage can be applied to the constriction, and transfer of an edge MF via the constriction between subregions can be turned on/off by this voltage control. Consequently, a pair of edges MF on a subregion can be exchanged. A device of larger scale can be configured by connecting the unit structures directly via the same constrictions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
