PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element and a photochemical cell with high efficiency and a metal complex dye therefor.;SOLUTION: A dinuclear ruthenium complex dye is provided having a linking molecule having an electron withdrawing group represented by formula 1 as a substituent, wherein R1 represents an electron withdrawing group; R2 represents H or a 2-18C alkyl group, provided that Rs existing on the same pyridine ring may bond to each other to form a ring; X- represents a counter ion; and protons (H+) of one or more carboxyl groups (-COOH) may be dissociated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
