PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program and device for flexibly determining the presence/absence of misuse of a honorific with respect to an input uttered sentence in Japanese.SOLUTION: This honorific misuse determination program includes steps of: accepting input of an uttered sentence text, a human relationship label showing a social relationship between persons relating to the uttered sentence, and difficulty; performing morphological analysis or syntax analysis to the uttered sentence text; digitizing subjects, complements, sentence end expressions, and predicates in the uttered sentence as honorific featured values; specifying a norm rule pertinent to the subjects and complements in the uttered sentence and the human relationship label by referring to a norm rule generalized without depending on the number of persons relating to the uttered sentence; deciding the norm rule to be used for determination by comparing the value of the level of validity obtained by digitizing the validity of correctness based on the honorific norm consciousness of modern general people about each norm rule with the difficulty; and executing the correctness determination of the honorific in the uttered sentence text by contrasting the honorific featured values determined to be correct following the norm rule with honorific featured values used for the uttered sentence text.
