PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic generation facility which can increase a power generation amount to be sold by efficiently driving a transformer which boosts output of a power conditioner and supplies it to a high voltage distribution line.SOLUTION: A method of determining an optimum transformer for a photovoltaic generation facility includes: normalizing each actual measurement data of sunshine strength measured for every predefined time during a fixed period of time with respect to a maximum value of the actual measurement data; classifying the obtained normalized values into 10 groups each having a representative normalized value M=0.1 to 1.0 as a center value; obtaining a frequency of the sunshine strength measured or total measured time in each group, as a score value C of the group to which the normalized values belong; and obtaining each product M×C of the representative normalized value M and the score value C of each group as a normalized value-score value multiplication value S of each group. A transformer is configured to have rating output being equal to output of a solar cell when the sunshine strength received by the solar cell is equal to the maximum sunshine strength measured during the fixed period of time, and efficiency to be a maximum at a load ratio equal to the representative normalized value M giving the maximum normalized value-score value multiplication value S.
