PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deriving a structural characteristic coefficient curve used to find structural characteristic coefficients of various dome-shaped structures differing scale when making an aseismatic design employing the structural characteristic coefficient.;SOLUTION: A method for deriving a structural characteristic coefficient includes the steps of: forming a joint part 62 for experiment; carrying out an intensity experiment on the joint part 62 for experiment so as to obtain various joint part elements; calculating a structural characteristic coefficient (frame coefficient) of a unit member 60 from the member length and various joint part elements with respect to the unit member 60; calculating a Ds value of each layer structure part S of a dome-shaped structure 10 assumed to comprise unit members 60 having respective frame coefficients; plotting frame coefficients calculated by member lengths of each unit member 60 and Ds values corresponding to the frame coefficients on a two-dimensional plane; and obtaining a structural characteristic coefficient curve of each layer structure part S based upon respective plotted points.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
