PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anticancer agent having an anticancer effect against various cancer cells, a cancer cell growth inhibitor usable for the anticancer agent, a protein synthesis inhibitor usable for the cancer cell growth inhibitor, and an E-cadherin binding agent usable for the cancer cell growth inhibitor and the protein synthesis inhibitor.SOLUTION: An E-cadherin binding agent contains at least either GAPDH protein and analog protein thereof. A protein synthesis inhibitor contains the E-cadherin binding agent. A cancer cell growth inhibitor contains at least either the E-cadherin binding agent and the protein synthesis inhibitor. An anticancer agent contains the cancer cell growth inhibitor.
