The invention relates to a device 10 for unblocking drains i.e. household sinks. The device comprises a container 12 having a reservoir of cleaning product and an outlet (22 figure 5), a plunger 14 is detachably mounted to the container for slidable movement within the container to force the cleaning product through the outlet. The device also comprises a protective skirt 16 attached adjacent the outlet of the container. The protective skirt may be made from a flexible material, and may comprise a plurality of apertures (44 figure 3d). In use, the outlet is positioned in an opening to the drain such that the skirt surrounds the opening to ensure the cleaning product is channelled into the drain as the plunger is pushed downwards.
