Power generation system for use in nuclear power plant, has heat exchanger arranged between intermediate loop and secondary circuit of nuclear thermal power station placed between high and low pressure turbines of secondary circuit
The system has a high pressure turbine (402) arranged directly downstream of a steam generator (401), and a low pressure turbine (405) arranged downstream of the high pressure turbine in the direction of flow of working fluid of a secondary circuit (400). A heat exchanger (210) is arranged between an intermediate loop and the secondary circuit of a nuclear thermal power station placed between the high pressure turbine and the low pressure turbine of the secondary circuit to transfer the heat from the intermediate loop of the secondary circuit. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating power.
