Device for reducing radioactive contamination of environment during major nuclear power plant accident, has watertight well terminated by reinforced tank, where tank is provided with lid and sealed automatically
The device has a watertight well (1) terminated by a reinforced tank (5) in which a core (2) is fallen in an event of nuclear power plant accident. The tank is provided with a lid (6) and sealed automatically. The well is separated from the core by a cover (3), which is destroyed by a non-linear system (4) i.e. pyrotechnical destruction system. The well is built vertical to the core, and includes tilted segments for allowing the core to fall in the tank without resistance.
