Method for detecting rotation direction of wheel of car by using unsigned active speed sensor, involves determining rotation direction during which irregularities are compared with reference irregularities according to vehicle average speed
The method involves using a rotation speed sensor of an unsigned wheel formed by an assembly of elementary sensors according to an angular distribution leading to spacing irregularities between the sensors. Real-time irregularities are estimated, and a rotation direction of the wheel is determined during which the irregularities are compared with reference irregularities of the sensor according to average speed of a vehicle. The reference irregularities are determined in a factory/rolling turns with knowledge of displacement direction of the wheel, and are safeguarded at end of determination. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for determining a displacement direction of a car (2) a system for detecting a rotation direction of a wheel (3) a system for determining a displacement direction of a car.
