In vitro method of predicting/diagnosing risk of developing multifactorial diseases includes detecting presence/absence of genic marker of multifactorial disease and environmental marker in sample and comparing results with reference value
In vitro method of predicting and/or diagnosing risk of developing multifactorial diseases in a subject, comprises (a) detecting presence or absence of at least one genetic marker of the multifactorial disease in a biological sample, (b) detecting presence or absence of at least one environmental marker in the biological sample, (c) optionally comparing detected level of the environmental marker with a reference value and (d) deducting the risk of developing multifactorial disease in the subject. An independent claim is included for identifying patients requiring monitoring of the occurrence of the multifactorial disease comprising in vitro diagnosing the patient having the risk of developing the disease, and optionally identifying the patient having the risk of developing the disease for establishing prophylaxis to reduce the risk of the multifactorial disease and/or monitoring the occurrence of the multifactorial disease.
