The device has a set of hardwares, a set of specific codes, and an overlapping application (2) that is utilized for providing a variable to an object e.g. watch. The codes are provided with a set of values and fraction of values that is arranged in a random manner. The codes are read by a reader that is arranged in the device, where the codes are readable as virtual codes. A marking is arranged along with the codes such that the marking and codes coincide with each other during detection of the object by the reader.
