The invention relates to a method of surface treatment of a bioinerte titanium implant intended to be placed in contact with a bone of the human body, of the type consisting in allowing biological fluids, such as the mineral part of the human blood plasma, to deposit naturally on the titanium implant a calcium phosphate film, of formula Ca (PO) (OH), in the form of hydroxyapatite, in order to render the bioinert titanium biologically active in order to allow a chemical bonding of the bone with the implant, thereby promoting osseointegration, the method comprising an operation of immersing the titanium in a solution of sodium hydroxide NaOH, said immersion resulting in the formation on titanium of a layer of hydrated titanium oxides (HTiO) which itself causes the appearance of TiOH hydroxyl groups for depositing said calcium phosphate film. The process according to the invention is characterized in that the immersion time in sodium hydroxide is less than 8 hours.
