The method comprises focusing a laser beam (22) along a propagation axis (2) in a direction of a part (30) to be cut, bringing the focused laser beam to the part by a first pipe provided with an output orifice (15a), distributing a gas jet (5) by a second pipe provided with an output orifice, where the second pipe is distinct and independent of the first pipe, directing the gas jet towards an interaction zone between the laser beam and the part, and cutting the part by the focused laser beam and the gas jet. The gas jet is directed to form an angle of 25-55[deg] with the propagation axis. The method comprises focusing a laser beam (22) along a propagation axis (2) in a direction of a part (30) to be cut, bringing the focused laser beam to the part by a first pipe provided with an output orifice (15a), distributing a gas jet (5) by a second pipe provided with an output orifice, where the second pipe is distinct and independent of the first pipe, directing the gas jet towards an interaction zone between the laser beam and the part, and cutting the part by the focused laser beam and the gas jet. The gas jet distributed by the second pipe is directed to form an angle of 25-55[deg] with the propagation axis of the laser beam. The gas jet is delivered to a rear of the laser beam according to a cutting direction. The output orifice of the second pipe includes a section in a form of slit of a longitudinal dimension (0.8-7 mm) larger than a transverse dimension (0.2-0.5 mm) of the section. The section of the output orifice of the second pipe is a rectangular section and an oblong section. The output orifice of the second pipe is positioned at a distance of 0.8-3 mm from a surface of the part. The second pipe comprises an internal profile of rectilinear form. The laser beam has a power of 0.5-8 kW. The laser beam is generated by a laser generator of carbon dioxide type and Yttrium aluminum garnet types. An independent claim is included for a laser installation.
