The device (20) has a cavity for receiving an auxiliary product (8) e.g. pastille, on a water circuit, where the circuits leads to an end of shower head (22). A stopper (5) closes an opening that allows introduction of the product into the cavity. The cavity is formed of chambers (3, 4) separated by a partition (7). The partition is provided with perforations to allow water from one of the chambers containing the auxiliary product toward another chamber in direct contact with the end. A three-way valve allows the water to pass through after contacting with the auxiliary product or directly.
