摘要

Copolymer containing at least one vinyl ether repeating unit (I) and (II), is claimed. Copolymer comprising at least one vinyl ether repeating unit of formula (-(C((R1)(R2))-C((R3)(R4)))-) (I) and (-(C((R5)(R6))-C((R7)(O-W1-R8)))-) (II), is claimed. R1-R4 : halo; R5-R7 : H, halo or alkyl; W1 : polyoxyalkylenyl; and R8 : alkyl or H. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the copolymer, comprising polymerizing at least one alkene monomer of formula (((R2)(R1))C=C((R3)(R4))) (III) and (((R6)(R5))C=C(R7)(O-W1-R8)) (IV) in the presence of a free radical initiator; (2) a membrane comprising the copolymer; and (3) a lithium battery comprising at least one electrochemical cell comprising at least one membrane disposed between a positive electrode and a negative electrode.
