System for monitoring heart activity of subject to detect cardiovascular dysfunctions, has microphones, and remote communication unit that is arranged to generate warning signal when heart activity of subject is abnormal
The system (100) has two microelectromechanical system microphones (110a, 110b) that are intended to be placed on skin of a chest of a subject (S). A processing unit (121) is utilized to process audio signals recorded by the microphones for monitoring cardiac activity of the subject. The microphones are oriented such that acoustic axes are inclined with respect to one another. A remote wireless communication unit (123) is arranged to generate a warning signal when heart activity of the subject is abnormal. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring heart activity of a subject.
