Method for archiving annotation data of web document by e.g. personal computer, involves determining order index for each annotation added on web document following relation of order between added annotations
The method involves receiving annotation data (21) from an electronic annotation device (26) via a communication unit (22C), where the data includes annotations added on a web document (17) via the electronic annotation device, by a user. The annotation data received in a memory (22B) is archived by an archiving unit (22D). An order index is determined for each annotation added on the web document following a relation of order between the added annotations, where the annotation data comprises order indices associated with the respective added annotations. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for rendering a representation of annotated web document (2) a computer program product comprising software instructions for implementing a method for archiving annotation data of web document by an electronic archiving device (3) a computer program product comprising software instructions for implementing a method for rendering a representation of annotated Web document (4) an electronic device for archiving annotation data of web document (5) an electronic device for rendering a representation of annotated web document.
