Method for triggering network selection operation by mobile communication terminal, involves triggering network selection operation in response to receipt of message containing network selection operation trigger command
The method involves receiving a message containing a network selection operation trigger command (3.2), and triggering a network selection operation in response to receipt of the message (3.9). An acknowledgment is sent (3.10) to indicate that the network selection operation has occurred, where the acknowledgment includes an identifier of a selected network after the network selection. A subscriber identifier is switched (3.6), and a new network selection is effected in the process of reconnecting a communication terminal to the network. An independent claim is also included for a communication terminal.
