The method involves providing a set of choices that is able to be personalized. An exact technique and type of secret authentication associated with the technique are provided as a part of choices for user (101). An authentication system is allowed to provide a list of authentication algorithms, where each of the algorithms comprises a generic parameter setting. An authorized authentication algorithm is chosen and configured for authentication purpose.
