Lug for use with athletic shoe i.e. football boot, has lug body comprising eight sides to optimize rotation and holding ability of lug, and fastening unit extending away from base element
The lug (1) has a fastening unit extending away from a base element (3) for attachment of the lug to a shoe. A lug body (7) comprises a tapered profile and eight sides (9) to optimize rotation and holding ability of the lug. The lug body comprises a flat side (13) in square shape with rounded off corners. A transition region (15) comprises intermediate regions (21) that are inserted between sides of the transition region.
