The electrical machine (10) comprises a rotor (12), and the bearings (14) of a bearing arrangement, which are rotatably mounted on a stator (18) about the bearing axis (16). The bearing arrangement comprises two bearings which are arranged in the axial direction (z) within the axial extent of the stator and/or the rotor. The bearings are arranged directly on the stator or the rotor and are set facing one side of a rotor shaft (20) which is arranged on the inside surface (22) of the stator. The stator is arranged within the housing (26). An independent claim is included for a method of manufacturing an electrical machine.
