Knock control system for internal combustion engine, has knock sensor for emitting signal in vibration waveform, which corresponds to knocking state of engine and knock control unit to determine whether knock is occurring based on signal
The knock control system comprises a knock sensor (5) for emitting a signal in the vibration waveform, which corresponds to the knocking state of the engine (1), and a knock control unit (6) to determine whether knock is occurring based on the signal of the knock sensor and to carry out a knock control, during which an ignition time point is delayed when the knock is occurring and the ignition time point is preponed when knock has not occurred. A control sensitivity-correction unit to reduce a knock control-sensitivity for a predetermined response delay time after which the knock is detected.
