The method involves tolerating disrupted and failed messages of safely aligned components in a defined measurement and tolerance without putting the application in a secured condition. The measurement of the tolerance is determined as tolerance time, during which the interferences are not considered, or is determined as tolerance number, which considers the length and frequency of the tolerated interference and length of the uninterrupted phases. The application is set into a safe state, when the tolerance exceeds without receiving a valid message.
