Obstacle detecting system for detecting obstacle during parking of car, has image capturing device including two cameras, and image processing unit detecting obstacle based on image information captured by two cameras
The system has image capturing devices (1-6) and an image processing unit, where each image capturing device includes two cameras (7, 8), and each camera includes a wide angle lens. One of the cameras is moved in a direction, and the other camera is moved in another direction, so that the cameras are aligned with an angle of 30 degrees, where the system forwards image information captured by the cameras to the image processing unit. The processing unit detects an obstacle based on the image information, where the cameras are movable both in horizontal and vertical directions. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
