New calicivirus binding peptide, useful for enriching, immobilizing, detecting and/or marking caliciviruses, and for treating viral infection, preferably calicivirus infection or norovirus infection
Calicivirus binding peptide comprising one of 22 (12) amino acid sequences all fully defined in the specification, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) use of the peptide comprising the above sequences or a sequence of SEQ ID NO. 1 (a 12 amino acid sequence fully defined in the specification) or SEQ ID NO. 22 (a 12 amino acid sequence fully defined in the specification) for enriching, immobilizing, detecting and/or marking caliciviruses; (2) a kit comprising the peptide and optionally a carrier; and (3) a nucleic acid having a nucleic acid sequence encoded by the peptide. ACTIVITY : Virucide. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
