The motor car i.e. four-door passenger car (10), has two side doors, where one of the side doors is designed as a driver's door and the other door is designed as a front passenger's door, where each side door is equipped with a window (18) that comprises a window pane (20). A plastic diaphragm (23) is connected to a lateral edge of the window pane and provided with a transparent portion. A lighting unit is arranged behind the transparent portion. A body (11) is provided with an A-pillar (12), and the diaphragm is arranged in a region of the A-pillar. The lighting unit is designed as a multi-row LED arrangement, electroluminescent film and a driving direction indicator.
