Treating directionally solidified or monocrystalline casting made of high temperature alloy, preferably turbine blade, comprises partially removing residues of molded material adhered on casting by irradiating using organic blasting agent
Treating directionally solidified or monocrystalline casting (2) made of a high temperature alloy, preferably a turbine blade, comprises at least partially removing residues of molded material (4), which are adhered on the casting, by irradiating using an organic blasting agent (5). An independent claim is also included for a device (1) for carrying out the above mentioned method, comprising (a) a blast cabinet designed for the cleaning the casting from molded material residue of a casting mold, which are adhered on the casting, by blasting with a blasting agent, preferably designed for disposable use of the blasting agent, where the blast cabinet includes at least one blasting nozzle connected to a blasting agent container, and (b) a holding- and/or transporting device for holding the casting during beams and/or for transporting the casting, where the holding-, transporting device, and/or the blast cabinet include at least one damping body for the casting, and the casting, during holding, transporting, and/or blasting is retained in bumpless manner on the damping body and/or supported on the damping body.
