The measuring system (1) has a magnetic encoder (2) that performs very high accurate measurement of positions of magnetic elements (8) rotated or displaced with respect to a reference element. The magnetic elements are mutually spaced at a fixed period length along shifting direction or twisting direction. The desired curve adapted to magnetization between north poles and south poles of magnetic elements with respect to the reference element is determined by a Wiegand sensor, based on positions of magnetic elements along shifting direction or twisting direction.
