The method involves drying a resulting wet waste concentrated in an evaporator (8) by a heat flow introduced into the evaporator. The recycled wet waste is generated by a predetermined dry matter, where the processed wet waste is discharged for further treatment. The wet waste is entered in the evaporator without dewatering. The resulting wet waste is dried in multiple stages, where the heat flow initiated saturated steam is used as the evaporator. The exhaust steam generated during the drying of the wet waste is discharged, where the generated exhaust steam is subsequently treated. The remaining waste is burned by the fuel. An independent claim is included for a device for treatment of wet waste on board of a floating vehicle with a combustion surface.
