Redundant hydraulic steering i.e. fault-tolerant steer-by-wire steering, for tractor, has steering cylinder or pair of cylinder chambers hydraulically clamped and supplied independent of another steering cylinder or another pair of chambers
The steering has tandem steering cylinders (1, 2) mechanically coupled together, and a multi-chamber steering cylinder with two pairs of cylinder chambers. The former steering cylinder or the former pair of cylinder chambers is supplied independent of the latter steering cylinder or the latter pair of the cylinder chambers. The former steering cylinder or the former pair of chambers is hydraulically clamped. A pumping line (42) and a drain line (44) are attached to the former cylinder or the former pair of the chambers. The drain line is throttled over a clamping valve (19). The clamping valve is a 3/4-directional valve.
