The power spectrum of an audio signal to-be-coded in accordance with one of the frequency-domain coefficients of the to-be-encoded audio signal, is determined, and a noise level of a zero-bit encoding sub-band audio signal is obtained by calculating power spectrum corresponding to the noise level, when decoding the energy ratio of noise filling the spectral band. The noise level of the zero-bit encoding sub-band audio signal is based on a ratio of the estimated noise component power in the zero-bit encoding sub-band to an estimated noise component at zero-bit encoding sub-band. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an audio coding method; (2) an audio decoding method; (3) an audio coding system; and (4) an audio decoding system.
