Injection molding machine, has clutch directly coupling flywheel mass with shaft of electric motor in operating mode and decoupling motor from mass in another operating mode, where molding tool is moved by motor
The machine (1) has an electric motor (2) e.g. three-phase motor, for moving a molding tool. A clutch (6) e.g. magnetic force clutch or mechanical clutch, directly couples a flywheel mass (11) with a shaft (4) of the motor in an operating mode and decouples the motor from the flywheel mass in another operating mode. A spindle (9) i.e. injection spindle, is connected with the motor to convert rotating movement of the motor into linear movement for moving the molding tool. A control device (10) is connected with the clutch to switch the clutch between the operating modes. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an injection molding machine.
