The heating system has a heat storage unit that stores the excess heat energy from the water (6) and reuses the heat energy on the water. A heat accumulator is formed as a geothermal energy store (18) or latent heat storage. A solar thermal device (14) is connected with the heat accumulator to heat the water. The water surface temperature is set to maximum value. An independent claim is included for method for operating heating system for swimming pool.
