The system has an electronic control unit adding an additional steering angle to steering angle input by a driver, where differences in a driving behavior are compensated by the additional steering angle and front wheels of a two-lane motor vehicle are adjustable by wheel steering angles requested by the driver. The differences in the driving behavior is caused due to deviation in cornering stiffness and/or run-length of currently mounted wheel tires from the cornering stiffness and/or run-length, which are utilized for a basic design of the system.
