The method involves determining a correlation value by correlating information in detection points of a technical process with process information based on historical data. The correlation value is used for determining a threshold value for the detection points. The correlation value is determined as the threshold value for the detection point if a preset condition is fulfilled. An upper threshold value is determined by an upper correlation value, and a lower threshold value is determined by a lower correlation value. The information are time information, retention time information, processing time information, manufacturing time information and provisioning time information. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for performing a technical process (2) a device for interpretation of a technical process.
