Machine for producing one-sided smooth fibrous web e.g. one-sided smooth paper, has web travel path that is arranged in wire section so that underside of web comes in contact with waterproof tape and surface of smoothing cylinder
The machine has a wire section (1) with a waterproof tape (12), a press section (2) with press nip (15) and a drying section (3) with a heated smoothing cylinder (19). A web travel path is arranged in the wire section so that the underside (8) of the web comes in contact with the waterproof tape and with the surface of the heated smoothing cylinder. The diameter of the heated smoothing cylinder is 3.5m. The waterproof tape is made of polyurethane.
