The domestic appliance has a frame with a corner portion at which a force receiving element (24) is arranged for receiving the force acting on receiving surface (45). The torque-free compressive force is transferred to a frame portion upon initiation of force acting on receiving surface of force receiving element. The receiving surface of force receiving element is aligned with respect to longitudinal axis of frame portion.
